I haven't posted a Friday Lunch in a while. LyLa and I have been trying to make healthier choices when it comes to lunch, so we've been hitting up Zoe's Kitchen pretty often. But with my clusterfreak of a week, I was craving a little naughtiness in the form of a hamburger and fries. And after a little early morning office chaos, LyLa was on board and we ventured over to Burgersmith...

I got the "natural burger," which is some sort of organic-centric burger creation. I don't really speak "organic" so I can't really tell you much more than that. I know I know... me not having 3 paragraphs to describe a single item of food?! But being perfectly honest, it was a burger. It was really good... but not as life changing as our rendezvous with Bonnie Bell's Bistro. The fries on the other hand (butter and garlic) were absolutely delicious... amazing. But I felt so guilty eating them... like my arteries were getting increasingly clogged by the second,...
Whats wrong with me folks?
Have I lost my zest when it comes to my beloved burger?
Have I come the proverbial girl who craves healthier food since she's been eating it so much?
Oy.

Y-U-M!! I am finally starting to eat some normal foods again, but breads haven't made it on the list of things consumed yet... so a burger, not quite. But it looks really good... you should probably start eating nummy stuff like this more often so your tastebuds don't shun you!!
sound delish?? don't worry, you'll get you're food zest back!! hey-toxic.blogspot.com
It could very well be that your body is craving different things. I've been on a health kick since February and have lost about 60 lbs. since then and while there are still PLENTY of bad things I crave (and eat), there are also a lot of other things that I loved before that I have no desire for now even if I were allowed to splurge. It's weird!
I was like that a few years ago--I'd been eating really healthy for a while then ate fast food (or something ridiculously greasy) and I could hardly get it down. You just develop a different taste for things, but trust me, if you try hard enough, you'll get the taste back...
