Fu Man Roux

I've gone ahead and entered the Stache Contest over at B is for Brown.

This is my submission - a Cajun 'Stache that goes by the name of the Fu Man Roux.

Here's what I sent in with my entry:

"I came up with the idea thinking about how you always go out to dinner here and there's some crazy Cajun rocking a fantastic stache but as he's chowing down on all the delish Cajun food, bits and pieces get stuck in his stache (and beard, and I once even witness someone get crab shells in their bushy eyebrows! ouch!)... so in my stache creation, I tried to cram in all the yummy bits from our food: crabs, crawfish, gator, Tony's, Tabasco, file', rice, and of course red beans on to my favorite 'stache style - the fu man chu!"

Perhaps The Most Important Part of My NOLA Rendezvous

I promised Summer that if I saw any sweet staches this weekend in the Big Easy, that I'd be sure to get some photographic evidence of the stashe-osity to bring back to her. So when this guy sauntered over to the merch table at the Marc Broussard concert Saturday night, I (almost too) enthusiastically explained my love for the stache and my promise to my dear Summer. His girlfriend kept pleading for him to shave it and explaining her hatred for his facial hair, but I gave her my best "Save the Sweet Staches" campaign speech. She may have been convinced... or not.
