I got these babies at a little clothing shop at the Town Center Mall while in Boca. While I absolutely love them, today's the first day that I attempt to wear them because well... two things are irking me.

Boca Lovahs!
It's only fitting that I start out my Boca Road Trip Recap
Like this...
...with a photo of the two most fabulous women in my life.
I've got SKing on the left and ALin on the right.
If ever three people could simultaneously fall in love with each other in a matter of 2 hours, it would be we three.
At this point I'm sure this guy is feeling mighty left out, but don't worry bud... We managed to include you in a few of our photos. Didn't we?
agh....ummm....errrrr
Back to the fabulousness!
I'm pretty sure you can feel the ridiculous lady love vibes (ALin, thats your cue to giggle like a 12 year old boy) radiating from the photo.
So feel free to comment on how stinkin' cute we are (Geezey Wheezey, just tell me that you love our faces) orrrr if you want to be a hater and notice that we're not actually playing poker but rather Apples to Apples, I'll ignore your sippin' on the haterade and invite you to comment on the sheer awesomeness of Apples to Apples.

Boca Bound: Prep
If you kids were wondering where I was all day, I spent my morning racing to finish my packing and the remainder of the day on the road. That's right. My roadtrip with SKing to Boca Raton started TO-DAY!
We're spending the night in Tallahassee, and driving the remaining six hours tomorrow. We've managed to squeeze in a ton of fun and a smidge of randomness - mainly some "menz" at the Wal-Mart in Chipley, FL & countless jokes about Climax, GA - but it's been a long one and tomorrow comes early...
On that note, I'll leave you with a little video we made of our Boca Preparations...
Cause really contacts, booze, a mexican muumuu, and some redonkulous dance moves are all you really need....

Nerd Status: Up 10 Points

I spent a good part of my Sunday scouring Books a Million for a few books I could take along to Boca - cause lets face it, one of the best parts of beaching it up is getting lost in a really good book. My problem is that I only found one book that really caught my eye, The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff ... and cover drew me in so much that I read the back four times on the way home. Then I let myself read the first chapter when I got home - but only the first chapter I promised. Well, if you know anything about me, know this - I don't really "do" patience nor do I "do" self-restraint. The first chapter turned into me reading all 500+ pages in one sitting.
I'm Boca-bound in 3 days and book-less...
So please, dear lusty ones....
(That's your new name, I've decided... Try it on. Feels nice, doesn't it?)
Tell me you've got some great summer reads to recommend???
Please no Nicholas Sparks-y type cryfests though,... I enjoy having my SPF 70 not dribble down my face in a tidal wave of tears and snot.

FITBF: Hey Y'alllll HEY!
Ello babies! (I've been watching Love & Other Disasters on repeat. Anyone else adore the movie like I do?) I know I've been gone - but I can't wait to share all the thrilling bits that I've been up to. While I'm working on those posts, why not jump back into it with one of my favorites - Fill in the Blank Friday?!

1. My dream vacation would be a South African safari or India during the festival of Holi. Give me color and culture and I'm a happy girl.
2. The best trip I've ever taken was to 12 or so cities in Italy when I was 15. I went wit LyLa and our friend Brooke. While the trip was one of those life changing experiences, my sense of style was anything but... I scraped up some photos for your enjoyment. Capris in Capri? Check. Old Navy fanny pack? Mhmmm. Inability to smile stemming from fear of something stuck in my braces? Ohhh yes.
3. The most important items to take on a road trip are Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis. Duh.
4. The next trip I'm looking forward to is
I.
Where: Houston, Texas
When: July 9th & 10th
Who: Me, Mther, SKing, & ASal
What: Using my impending 25th birthday as excuse for a weekend in le city!
Where: Boca Raton, FL
When: July 22nd - 28th
Who: Me & SKing
What: The Ultimate girls road trip!!
5. If I had to pick one CD to listen to for a long road trip it would be OAR's Any Time Now, Disc 2. The entire CD makes me want to put my feet on the dash, roll down the windows, and scream at the top of my lungs as I shake my hair free. It's instant feel good - and isn't that what road trips are all about?
6. The biggest disaster I've ever encountered while traveling was my first time traveling alone. I was on my way home after my first summer in Maine. My flight was delayed 8 hours before they decided to bus us to a New Hampshire airport and reroute me. That flight to Detroit was delayed, and I showed up to my connecting flight to New Orleans just as they were closing the cabin doors. I was denied entry onto the plane and had to spend the night alone in Detroit with no luggage. The next morning as I waited for my flight to New Orleans, I lost my license while shopping for Motown souvenirs. I had to wait for it to be found before I could get on my flight home.
7. My favorite traveling memory is my flight home from Italy. It was just a sense of returning home a little bit more mature, forever changed, and thirsting for more of the unknown.

Flash Back: Me & Poopface
I've got Florida on the brain. It seems like in the past few days I've been hit with a billion things that remind me of Boca & Delray...
And with all these memories swirling around, I feel like I have an obligation (to who? I don't know) to dedicate a little posty-post to my beloved best friend, my poopface, Joshua.
I'll always rememeber: gay snakes, hurting - "in a good way," sharpie tattoos, the modern family, sleepover with our girlies, nights at the playhouse, the first night in both of his apartments, the MEI picnics, sending his mum flowers, long tearful conversations at night on Boynton Beach, guitar nights on Atlantic Beach, Friday lunches at Bru's Room, the first night he cooked for me, surprising him with a visit, the mix tapes, "Love You So," my eyepatch, ripped jeans, the bathroom at Sloane's, Italian Picnics in my hotel room, trips to the zoo, Pizza Rustica and Ben & Jerry's, watching the Chronicles of Narnia, burying each other in the sand, Butterfly World, trips to Jungle Gardens, "romancing the world"...and so much more.
Here's to friendship.
And here's to it surviving a 1000 miles, stupid fights, serious fights, and everything else that tried to bring it down.
